Transatlantic Cooperation Task Force

The Task Force was created at the Atlantic Arc Commission (AAC) General Assembly held in Pamplona (Navarra-Spain), on June 2016 at the initiative of the Basque Country.

Its key objectives are:

  • Collecting information on existing cooperation between European and American local authorities or socio-economic stakeholders;
  • Starting a reflection on ways to reinforce institutional links between regions on both sides of the Atlantic, for example through the internationalization of the Atlantic Maritime Strategy;
  • Identifying cooperation possibilities with the regions of the American continent in topics of common interest;
  • Identifying funding opportunities for cooperation projects.
